【作者簡介】凱瑟琳·菲力普斯(1631-1664)雖然在當今已經鮮為人知，但在17世紀的英國詩歌界有一定的影響和知名度。她和丈夫詹姆士·菲力普斯所建立的詩歌社團“友誼協會”包括詩人亨利·沃恩、杰利米·泰勒和作曲家 亨利·洛斯。在協會中人們稱她為奧琳達。她的早期詩作發表于沃恩在1651年出版的詩集中，她的其它詩歌在她去世后于1667年出版。她的作品多表現出傳統的虔誠和傷感，詩人亞伯拉罕·考利為她作了一首品達式的哀歌，約翰·濟慈在致雷諾茲的信中抄錄了一首她的詩。
