1.You seem worried.

7.She is feeling blue,because she didn’t do well in the exame

8.I’ve been feeling a bit down in the dumps lately

9.It freightens me when I have to walk home late in the dark.

10.I wonder why she gave me sorrowful looks.

Dialogue 1

A:What’s the matter? You don’t look well.

B:I am worried.

A:What about?

B:My exame.

A:Oh,is that all?

B:I feel very nervous about it.

A:Don’t worrry about it. Try to look on the bright sight of things.

A:Are you all right?

B:I will be all right soon.I was terrified when I watched them

fall from the wire.

A:Don’t worry.He is an acrobat。

B:Ok,I’ll go out and look for her

B:Cheer up. You can take it.

A:I hope so.

A:It’s a worry to me whether he is able to pass

B:I think he is able to pass with your help.

A:I’m not sure.

B:He’s been working hard recently, hasn’t he?

W:Would you like to come to our party?

M:I’d like to.But I’m not myself today.

W:what happened? You look so pale.

M:It’s the end of the world for me.

W:What makes you say that?

M:Today,I’m told I failed three courses.

W:Oh,that’s too bad.

M:Work harder next term.

W：I’m such a fool that duplication of effort is only a waste

time to me.

M:Don’t loose heart.Everything will be fine.

W:I hope so.

James and Patrick were alone in the office.Patrick didn’t not

look very cheerful,so James asked him what had heppened. Patrick

said:Oh nothing special.I’m just a bit fed up.James asked

whether he was fed up with the job.Patrick said he was fed up

with every thing,with catching the same train every

morning,setting in the same office all day, watching the same

televison progames.Therefore,James advised him to have a

holiday.Beacuse he knew that reason why Patrick was so

dispressed was that he did the same sort of job for years and

years.There was no variety in his life
