1. 泛指一般意義的“危險”，通常是不可數名詞;表示做某事的危險，其后通常接of doing sth，而不接不定式。如：

The children didn’t realize the danger of swimming in the river. 孩子們沒有意識到在這河里游泳的危險。

She has been warned of the danger of driving the car in that state. 已經告訴過她，汽車這個樣子開起來有危險。

有時后接in doing sth，表示在做某事過程中的危險。如：

Is there any danger in climbing the tree? 爬這樹有危險嗎?

2. 比較：in danger意為“在危險中”，in danger of意為“有……的危險”。如：

His life is in danger. 他有生命危險。

He is in danger of losing his life. 他有生命危險。

We’re in danger of being hit by a stone. 我們有被石頭砸的危險。

3. 表示具體意義的造成危險的原因或人(物)等，或指威脅、危害等，是可數名詞。如：

The man is a danger to society. 這個人對社會是個危險人物。

It will awaken society to the dangers of drugs. 它將喚醒社會警惕毒品的危害。

表示做某事的危害，其后也通常接of doing sth。如：

The doctor alerted me to the danger of not getting enough sleep. 醫生提醒我注意睡眠不足的危害。
