2.過去進(jìn)行式的形式是was (were) +現(xiàn)在分詞。

3.過去進(jìn)行式表示過去某一時(shí)刻正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作,與表示過去某一時(shí)刻的副詞或副詞片語連用。

I was watching TV at 2 o＇clock this afternoon.

下午兩點(diǎn)時(shí)我正在看電視。

I was having dinner at eight o’clock yesterday evening.

昨晚八點(diǎn)我正在吃飯。

4.過去進(jìn)行式表示過去某一段時(shí)間持續(xù)進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作。

I was watching TV before 4 o＇clock.

四點(diǎn)前我一直在看電視。

Tom was reading a book all morning.

整個(gè)早晨湯姆都在讀書。

5.arrive, begin, come, drive, fly, go, leave, meet, move, stay, start等表示動(dòng)作的動(dòng)詞的過去進(jìn)行式,可用來表示過去將來即將發(fā)生的動(dòng)作。

Your mother was coming today.

你媽媽今天要來。

She was flying here two o＇clock this afternoon.

她將在今天下午飛到這里。

I were meeting your mother at the airport.

所以我要到飛機(jī)場(chǎng)接你媽媽去。

He was meeting his brother at the airport the next day.

他第二天要到飛機(jī)場(chǎng)接他哥哥去。
